Latter Days and Nights

This is the Mormon Temple near the place I call home. No, they're not having a film premiere. This is how it looks every night. I'd love to see their electric bill. After I took this shot, I looked up and there were two blond Mormon boys in white shirts and ties sitting in a Toyota Camry at the intersection, watching me photograph the place they call home. Steve Sandvoss, anyone? I thought they were going to get out of the car and try to convert me. After one look at them, I might have been persuaded.

If you've ever driven through Salt Lake City, it's even worse. The whole city was built around the Temple. It's surreal and beautiful... if not a bit creepy. :-\

My friends and I always said that the figure was "The WEHO fairy" Showing us the way home.
Bless her heart!

You know, I don't think I have every seen an unattractive Mormon Boy. They are usually so cute, wholesome and enticing.

Across the street is a Travelodge that I stayed at after getting very, very drunk one night in WeHo. On my hands and knees, barfing into the toilet, I looked up out the open bathroom window to see this illuminated figure at the top of a building blowing a trumpet.

N's right. SLC revolves around Temple Square. It's beautiful at night, and interesting to walk through, but it does get surreal and creepy. I'll also agree with Mark. I didn't see one unattractive Mormon boy the entire time.

Okay okay okay...I know Salt Lake City is a strange place but in a strange way I kind of like it. (as I live there) To be a rebel here...all you have to do is hold a coffee cup. I wish that cute mormon boy theory was entirely true...sure there are some...but I wouldn't say all of them.
By the way, Andy you are awesome and if you need a Mormon boy...I'll try and find you one.

Jesus, even the BUILDING is white.
*(the great thing about mormons is that there is NO middle ground. They're either PURE, or a TOTAL SINNER... so when you find one who has 'strayed'... they are a BLAST because they figure... "it's all the way, baby!".)
