Get Mirwais on the Phone! Now!
Miu over at A Socialite's Life presents the new Madonna ad from Versace, which I speculated about a couple months back. Larger version here.
In the new ad, Madonna (now in the role of power executive supervixen), gives the camera a look that can only be described as "interrupt me one more time and your ass is toast bitch," leaving little doubt as to how the scene must have looked just before Caresse Henry, her longtime personal manager, fled the Kabbalah Ciccone headquarters last month with her tail between her legs.
Also, notice the unabashed product placement. Are we selling gold Versace handbags or are we selling iMacs? Hard to say, but Apple must be thrilled.
ADDENDUM: There's talk of a fake here, however, both the bag and the skirt showed up in Versace's Spring '05 runway show so they're definitely part of the collection. You decide.

either a little heavy on the air brushing or I would agree with Noah - them there eyebrows are skyward - deosn't the right hand look like it was holding a bull whip (until it got airbrushed too)?

I'm so sick of the fashion industry presenting an image of the world that is so obviously unrealistic. I mean, the Apple Bluetooth optical mouse would never work on a glass tabletop like that!!

This photo makes poor Madge look "OLD" dare I say that. This has to be like a spoiler picture just so that we could be surprised for the real photos. I personaly like the VERSACE photos taken by Steven Meisel they made Madonna look how do the Italians say "LA GRAND FICA"!!!Whatever Madge! YAWN.

I don't think Kubrick would claim this--it's so overlit it looks like a soap opera. Dynasty, perhaps?
She looks more like a temp sitting at Anna Wintour's desk than an actual power player.

Fags! Show some respect! While this may be a bit...tacky on Madonna's part, I'm really dissapointed to see such a thorough bashing of a woman who was, is, and always will be one of the biggest influences and defenders of camp and queer culture. That's all!

With close inspecition, the face does look like it might have been "added" on and skewed to work with the angle. The eyes are a bit loppy. Or, maybe she had a stroke during the shoot?
But it does look like there's a red bracelet peeking out under the watch on her keyboard hand.

Alright kids you can view 3 pictures of the new VERSACE/MADONNA ad at www.madonnalicious.com or www.madonna-online.ch (she looks like the woman she played in that movie "Swept Away") nice pictures but again not the best. Maybe Madge RE-INVENTED herself to much that there's nothing left to RE-INVENT and all she has to show is "Madge". Wow Gasp. I still Heart her....

this ad is a fake, 100% for sure- I'm in the fashion industry and it would of been announced and was not. The head is large and has placed on this image.
