On a High Line

A few photos from a night at the MOMA for the opening party of the exhibition of plans for the High Line. The High Line is a 22 block long stretch of abandoned elevated track erected in 1929 on Manhattan's west side that is set to become New York's next great park. Last night's event, to which I was invited by my friend of the High Line Robert Hammond, was also a cool opportunity to see small pieces of the museum without the usual crowds, and it ended with a small bite at Vynl Diner later on...

This is the coolest thing ever! I love the idea and this is the first I've heard of it. I can't wait to hear more about the High Line. Thanks.

And just think of the rent increases flying, when twenty whole West Side blocks can now boast a 'park view'.
