Jake "Coy" on Brokeback Love Scenes
Jake Gyllenhaal spoke briefly to Entertainment Weekly about how he's "mystified by the hoopla" surrounding his gay cowboy role in Brokeback Mountain:
"I really did approach it like I would any love story. No matter how weird people might think it is or how f---ed up they might consider a certain relationship to be, if there is love there, then that's all that matters." Asked about rumors that the film's love scenes break explicit new ground, he laughs coyly. "I mean...I don't know...Um, all I can say is that they're there." Another mischievous laugh.
Giggle, giggle.
In Hawaii for the Maui Film Festival, Jake also tells the Maui News, "[Choosing a topical story] wasn’t really a conscious move. With Brokeback Mountain, it just moved me deeply. When I read the script, I had never read a love story that was told in the way that one was."

In preparation for Brokeback Mountain I've been at the video store trying to watch all of the movies Mr. Gyllenhall has been in: (Donnie Darko, Moonlight Mile, The Day After Tomorrow, The Good Girl...) - and let me tell you, the boy definitely picks edgy & "different" movies to appear in. Doesn't surprise me in the least, that he'd star as a gay cowboy.
He's also a SERIOUS hottie - (smile).

i do not think it is as easy as "gay" cowboy, and i am really sort of worried that the combonation of tenderness and explicitness will be lost

OMG I must see this film , it will be awsome not just cause it has to hott guys haveing sex but the emotion that holds within in this movie i think it will be a mind blowing experiance to see it i love it and those two are so hott together lol
