Catherine Zeta-Jones Developing Gay Rugby Film
When I heard Catherine Zeta-Jones was developing a gay rugby movie the first question that came to mind was whether or not she would employ fellow countryman and rising metrosexual Gavin Henson in the film.
As it turns out, she will. In late August, Henson played in a celebrity golf tournament in south Wales with Zeta-Jones.
Says Zeta-Jones of the film Coming Out: "I grew up among rugby fanatics - the film is very close to my heart. It's about a gay teenager from a little town in Wales who goes to London to pursue musical theatre. His father dies and leaves him the local rugby club in his will. He's doing West Side Story and has to go back home to get these fat, drinking, smoking Welsh guys into shape to win the rugby tournament."
Henson will play himself. No word on whether Henson's boozy girlfriend Charlotte Church, who was recently voted top gay icon by Attitude magazine, will play a role.

It not only sounds like a good story, it sounds like a story that will be an opportunity to portray Gay men in a positive light. I hope they don't lean too hard on the stereotype for humour.
I'm betting on it being a winner.

Catherine Zeta-Jones style as a film maker will certainly be a welcome addition with what promises to be a very positive project.
