"When the President Does It, That Means it is Not Illegal"

Nixon_bush

Meet Nixush, the human-animal hybrid of two American presidents, featured in the latest ad from MoveOn.org, presented as the Illegal Wiretap Hearings begin in Washington. Whatever your position on this, I think it's probably one of MoveOn's most effective ad spots.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales faces a Senate panel today on the wiretapping investigation.

  1. I thought we fought a revolution in part to do away with the absolute power of kings? ...or was that the divine right of kings??

  2. We interrupt today's MoveOn.org and NY Times coordinated BushIsNixon narrative for a small dose of reality courtesy of the Clinton Administration.

  4. When will Bush and his administration get their comuppance? Why can't the Ken Starr's of this world go after him with the same ferocity that was used with Bill Clinton? I did not trust the Idiot since his 1999 campaign. I did not trust him then, and his track record has proven me correct in my gut instinct ever since.

What really bugs me are the HUGE number of Bush followers out there. It's like a cult. They see something that is just not obvious to me; perhaps some Kool-aid induced hypnosis that makes the Idiot appealing. As hard as I try, I just cannot find anything... inspiring... interesting... statesmanlike... plausible... honest... of integrity... anything... about the guy and his administration worth supporting. And honest, I did try. I just ain't there.

  5. Let me make one thing perfectly clear...abso-fuckin-lutely brilliant!

  6. That’s a funny picture...but this whole thing is a little silly. The only thing they did was spy on terrorists. How is anyone going to prove guilt? Who is going to press charges? The terrorist who says he is unfairly being prosecuted because his rights were violated?

I am not saying what the President did was right or that I agree with this program but we need to focus on things that are more important. Like finding the terrorist cells in Afghanistan and stopping the nuclear holocaust that is building in Iran. I was watching an international news agency and they were comparing some of the rhetoric of Iran to that of Germany in the 1930’s. Apparently the US is the less concerned about this then the EU.

  7. Ughhhh.. I HATE ALBERTO GONZALEZ!!

He's Mexican. I'm Mexican. We both know there is a big problem with immigration in this country that is only getting worse.

Big business loves hiring Mexicans for $6 an hour and bring them into the country themselves (WalMart anyone?). Yet the general population seems to take it out on the day laborers themselves.

That army of racist hicks patrolling the border are going to get thier asses killed by the MS13 gang if they don't wise up. That is the worst gang in all of Mexican and they have thousands here in the US.

Yet ALberto Gonzalez took his time trying to get pornography banned, and now defending Bush.

Him and Condoleeza Rice are really living up to their "house slave" reputations (FYI, my Black friends named Condoleeza a house slave, not me) I prefer to call Gonzalez a wetback with a 401K.

Just goes to prove stupidity will cross all lines of color and creed.

  8. guess MoveOn.org's "Bush is Hitler" meme was a bust..

  9. "When will Bush and his administration get their comuppance?"

Well, if the left had something people wanted they would win elections.

Oh, and if they could at least pretend to not be racist like this: "Him and Condoleeza Rice are really living up to their "house slave" reputations (FYI, my Black friends named Condoleeza a house slave, not me) I prefer to call Gonzalez a wetback with a 401K." you might have a little more credibility. BTW, it is HE and Condoleeza Rice. Not Him and Condoleeza.

"i never noticed the physical resemblance of these two crooks before!"

Viva La Graham, you're kidding, right?

Why is it ok for a liberal to say things like this, and no one says anything? This is an extremely rascist statement.

  11. There's something really rich about an organization that was founded on the notion of "moving on" from a President breaking the law, now fixating on a President breaking the law.

  12. I can't wait till the Democrats have the opportunity to use this illegal practice. I bet these Neo-convicts will feel different then when they spy on their illegal activities. What goes around, comes around.

  13. someone up there said all they did was spy on terrorists, but they spied on thousands of people, You've gotta be pretty fucking naive to think that bush was 100% accurate in choosing the shady characters he was eavesdropping on. The only thing worse than having a really rich really spoiled asshole running your country is having a borderline retarded rich spoiled asshole running your country. But hey, It could be a lot worse, most dictators have to have that whole "evil genius" factor to properly fuck things up.
