Gay bashing victim meets his neo-Nazi skinhead attacker 14 years later while they are both working jobs at L.A.'s Museum of Tolerance: "They quickly realize they'd met before. Yes, in that back alley in West Hollywood. After all these years, the victim and the perpetrator speak face-to-face. However, this time they're on the same side, both trying to accomplish a little bit of good.
Last year, Charlize Theron told Extra that she and boyfriend Stuart Townsend would not marry until same-sex marriage was legalized. Saturday night she was awarded a GLAAD award for her support of gay and lesbian causes. She told the audience: "I feel so fortunate that I am in a relationship with a wonderful man. I find it incredibly unfair that because of our sexual preference, we have the rights that we have, and that, because of someone else's sexual preference, they don't have those same rights."

unfortunate with much that i've heard of alaska's beauty -- that there are these direct "progressions" if you will to transgress from moving toward equal rights. then again, from recent moments in mexico relating to alaska -- "they shoot doves, don't they?"

"Sexually violating"? What happened to the word "rape"? Hopefully, the guy will serve his full 20-year sentence, which is pretty weak given that he raped 4 people.

BOYCOTT VIACOM AND CBS
I got extra pissed off today upon reading the Viacom news (wasn't sure why, didn't feel like that male time-of-the-month yet, but just checked the calendar and full moon is on Thursday so my howling will not be attracting any wildlife for the next few days-- just kidding, sorta), so I sent Viacom International a bit of a rant which perhaps went off-target due to my rage (if I had published the first draft I may have been "silenced" by now), but here's what was sent:
Do you seriously want to see your stock drop more?! If so, keep it up with the UCC 'Ejector' advertisement ban.
Your claim that it is political and your "guidelines state we will not accept religious advertisements that may be deemed as disparaging to another religion" are unfounded and unethical, as the ad's point is to make it crystal clear that the UCC accepts ANYONE, regardless of faith, wealth or poverty, race, background, sexual orientation, whatever. If the religious wing-nuts that currently seem to dominate the world have a problem with that they can battle in their own Hell-- my perception of all the deitys are that they are loving and understanding, which should mean peace on Earth.
"The United Church of Christ - no matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here." That's a message that many people may appreciate hearing these days, since BushCo/yourselves are only interested in the once-mighty dollar.
Please read again 'The Constitution of The United States of America' and Lady Liberty's words. They ARE this country, and I'd like it back again.
Separation of Church and State is a very worthwhile principle. I sincerely believe organized religion is the bane of this planet and will probably cause the end of humanity.
However, a safe place to make home for the haves and have-nots, if only for a bit, is a kindness only humanity can deliver.
Currently, the UCC seems the only organization willing to accept any and all of us. They are not getting political, but I will if necessary.
Your corporation(s) own many networks, but you must have viewers to bring in the ad revenue to continue, correct for the most part? I have a LOT of friends who have a LOT of friends who have a LOT of friends who have a LOT of friends-- beginning to see your corporate demise, or do you just consider me a hack?
Try me.

It was a relatively spontaneous rant, so please forgive any grammatical errors etc.
I think I've done enough damage for the day, so it's time for a bong hit and a Red Stripe, and then some howling...:-O
ANYONE WITH ME?
ON BOYCOTTING... ;-)

I've seriously thought about getting divorced because I am embarassed and ashamed to be married. There's a mistaken assumption that because I'm married, I must be "pro-marriage" and against gay marriage. Nothing could be farther from the truth, so I wonder what married folk like myself can do to help show support for gay marriage. Seems like getting divorced wouldn't be as much as political statement as a personal one, though. Who's gonna care if I get divorced, right?

If that skinhead was really sorry he'd let his victim fuck him. It's only fair.
Piper, I appreciate the sentiment but if you get divorced no one will notice since 50% of your marriage crumble into divorce anyway. That's like saying you're going to protest against our nations addiction to oil by driving the long way to work.
I like the notion of rejecting the institution on the basis that it has been diminished by those who have tried to alter it's meaning in order to exclude some from entering but you shouldn't be ashamed of being married just because we are denied the same right. Be ashamed of the people who deny us that right.

How else is an ugly guy going to get laid? You have to knock 'em out, or they run away. Just ask Jeffrey Dahmer.
