Bachmann's Anti-gay Amendment Defeated in Minnesota
The Minnesota Senate Judiciary Committee rejected evil Michele Bachmann's consitutional amendment banning gay marriage by a party line vote of 5-4.
Bachmann, a Republican rep from Stillwater, has been fighting for the amendment for two years. If you'll remember, just about a year ago, she tried to play sneaky and circumvent the Senate committee process by forcing a vote on the floor while outside the state Capitol thousands of opponents of the ban rallied against it.
She thought the move would pan out, but it didn't, and she was later spotted hiding behind some bushes to watch the rally from afar. Said Bachmann at the time: "This is a very serious matter because it's our children that are the prize for this community. They are specifically targeting our children."
She has also called homosexuals evil.
Several activists spoke against the amendment before the vote, including former Minnesota Viking Esera Tuaolo. But the most interesting person present at the hearings was Michele Bachmann's own relative Helen LaFave, a lesbian, who came in opposition to her evil stepsister. She told the Associated Press, "I came to the hearing because it's a very personal issue. Michele's been very out in front on it, and at some point I wanted to bear witness on what she's doing that's so personally hurtful to me and so many others."
The two reportedly didn't exchange words at the hearing, but Bachmann told AP: "I love my sister, and I'm really glad she's here with her partner. We obviously disagree on this issue, and in that we're not unlike many other families."

"They are specifically targeting our children." That's the problem. These people thing being gay is a choice and we are evil recruiters who want to have sex with 10 year olds. If we could get it through their heads it's not a choice, they might relax. In the meantime, BOYcott all straight weddings and send the money you would have spent on attending to the HRC or whomever.

I don't like children except from a distance. (My nieces may disagree) Though it appears high ranking Bush appointees do like children.

Is her hair on purpose?

I really don't think Bachmann believes any of the crap she says. She's an opportunist. She wants to run for the U.S. Congress in the fall. She has done little else then push this amendment. She's been caught in countless lies. She's a GOP flunky who realizes that a vote on an anti-gay amendment will bring out the GOP base to the elections.

Accidental hair disaster?

How can she say she loves her sister, when she does not support who she is? She said she's evil, cause she think homosexuals are evil. Don't these people see how much energy is wasted in hating something, when it's so easy to love?

Dutchy honey... she can do that because she's a hateful neo-Christian fascist cunt.
It must feel so cozy and safe knowing that she's not one of the "others". Too bad that real love requires being brave enough to be vulnerable. But then again since when have the fundamentalist right wingers cared about love? All they know is fear.

Hey, does anybody know where I can obtain the following:
1 (one) Tornado {preferably F3 or greater}
1 (one) Solidly built farmhouse
1 (one) Flying cow.
And last, but not least,
1 (one) Enchanted broomstick {for Michele Bachmann, The Wicked Witch of Minnesota, to ride low through the air over Munchkin Land}
{By now I think you can see how this will end...}

With her THREE DIVORCES, she's the perfect and typical Republican hypocrite who points the finger at anyone but her own pathetic emotional life.
Like this Republican, who fires gay people for being "security risks" while making himself the biggest and easiest target for blackmail because he wants to hit it with pre-teen girls.
These are the Republicans -- and trolls -- who spread hate against us and tell us to vote on "more than one issue!" Wow! Log Cabin Republicans, and other useful idiots, meet the Republicans who tell you that you are second class citizens forever!

Washington -- Sheriff's detectives in Polk County, Fla., never know what they're going to find when they fish for sexual predators by creating bogus profiles on adult Internet sites.
But they were stunned last month when they ran across a man representing himself as an official of the Department of Homeland Security -- complete with lapel pin and a government telephone number -- and looking to connect with a 14-year-old girl.
Prosecutors prepared Wednesday to extradite Brian Doyle -- a senior public information officer in the Homeland Security Department in Washington who faces 23 felony counts of using a computer to seduce a child and transmitting harmful materials to a minor.
