Try to imagine George W. doing what Berlusconi did - but be careful, your head might explode!

I posted a much higher resolution of the Willie Nelson video at my link.

yeah, Frank & Paul have been not gayin' up the internet for months now. I blogged about them back in October...

Posted by: paul | Apr 3, 2006 2:37:10 PM
According to Wonkette, that video is not really of Berlusconi

Anybody else find the Willie Nelson video offensive? The idea that gay men are gay because they have a lady inside is a pretty primitive view, if you ask me.

About Lady's being inside of cowboys: I did find it a bit reflective of the time in which the song was written, and while it does bother me a little bit, I'm willing to let this sort of generalization slide since Willie Nelson is promoting an accepting image.

I've always loved Willie Nelson's music.

Actually, the Berlusconi Video is not really Berlusconi himself. It is from a German "mockumentary" called "Bye Bye, Berlusconi". But I wouldn't put it past the real thing to do something like that.

That's the first time I've heard the song--I think it's pretty great, actually.
The video could do without Burt Reynolds, though, for sure.

Well, the Willy Nelson song and video isn't quite as cringe-inducing as I'd feared. But sure wished they'd altered that 'lady inside' line. Coming on the coattails of Broakback, it helps undermine everything the movie stood for.

You should consider adding this wrestling compilation to your next "guide to the tube."

"Anybody else find the Willie Nelson video offensive?"
NO! Lighten up, dudes. The song is: "Cowboys are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other". And you find something OFFENSIVE about that? Get real.
"Coming on the coattails of Broakback, it helps undermine everything the movie stood for."
First of all, learn how to spell Brokeback. As to undermining everything that movie stood for, you're totally over-reacting. Are you sure you're not a closet Republican?

If that's Paul and Frank's definition of best friends, count me in!

No one found it offensive when Pansy Division did it. And wouldn't it be offensive to gay men who do feel they are in touch with an inner femininity to hear other gays denigrate them for it due to their own insecurities?
Cool song, cool video, cool artist.

Hurrah for Willie Nelson....The Alberta or Texas cowboy has to crawl to acceptance before he can walk, let alone run with it...
